As Vibes DAO gets ready to launch, it’s crucial to ensure a seamless experience for token holders, voters, and startups making funding proposals. To get hands-on and test its functionalities, we’ve outlined the following steps. These tasks will guide you through the process of obtaining Testnet VIBES, creating and managing proposals, voting, and reclaiming tokens.

Task 0: Get Testnet VIBES from Faucet

Objective: Obtain testnet VIBES tokens from the Stacks Testnet to complete other tasks.

Steps:

1. Visit Vibes DAO:  https://develop.hirevibes.io/dao-community
2. Set Up Your Wallet: Download your preferred wallet, such as Xverse or Leather.
3. Switch to Testnet: In your wallet, switch the network to Testnet. (Refer to the screenshot in the guide for details).
4. Request STX: Visit Hiro Explorer Faucet, and click “Request STX” to obtain your Testnet STX tokens.
5. Get Testnet VIBES: Navigate to the Vibes Faucet, connect your wallet, and click the “Get VIBES” button.
6. Check for Tokens: Ensure the Testnet VIBES are successfully received in your wallet.
   Note: If Testnet VIBES don’t show up in the Xverse Wallet, go to “Manage token list” and toggle the “vibes-token” on.

Task 1: Create a New Proposal

Objective: Test the ability to create and submit a new proposal.

Steps:

1. Navigate to the “Create Proposal” button on the Vibes DAO platform.
2. Verify that the proposal creation form opens correctly, with fields for title, description, and funding request.
3. Fill out the form and submit a new proposal. Confirm that it appears under the “Open Proposals” section.

Task 2: Make the New Proposal Go Live

Objective: Test the process of activating a new proposal.

Steps:

1. Go to the proposal you created.
2. Wait for it to deploy, then click “Make Proposal Go Live”.
3. Accept the transaction via your wallet when prompted.

Task 3: Voting on Proposals

Objective: Verify the functionality of the voting system for proposals.

Steps:

1. Navigate to your live proposal.
2. Test both the “For” and “Against” voting options.
3. Ensure that casting a vote updates your vote status and reflects in the proposal’s vote count.
4. Verify that the vote transaction is correctly recorded on the blockchain.

Task 4: Conclude a Proposal

Objective: Test the process of concluding a proposal once the voting period ends.

Steps:

1. Locate the proposal where the voting period has concluded.
2. Ensure that the option to “Conclude Proposal” is available.
3. Confirm whether the proposal is executed or not, based on the final vote count. The status should be displayed in both the proposal details and the “Completed Proposals” section.

Task 5: Reclaim Voting Tokens

Objective: Test reclaiming tokens after voting concludes.

Steps:

1. Find a proposal where the voting period has ended.
2. Verify that the user has the option to “Reclaim Tokens”.
3. Confirm that the tokens are successfully reclaimed and the user’s wallet balance updates correctly.
